Bubble-point and some dew-point pressures and vapour-liquid critical points of the binary systems carbon dioxide + 2-butanol, carbon dioxide + vinyl acetate and carbon dioxide + 2-butyl acetate were measured in the temperature range of 278-520 K up to 15 MPa in a high-pressure capillary glass tube apparatus, using the synthetic method. For the system [(1 - x) CO 2 + (x) 2-butanol] data of the three-phase line L 2 L 1 V for x = 0.1495 are given for a temperature range of 249-252 K. The UCEP (L 2 L 1 = V) is found at P = 1.787 MPa and T = 251.39 K. Modelling of the VLE of the three binary systems has been performed using the Stryjek-Vera modification of the Peng-Robinson EOS with both the van der Waals one fluid mixing rules (PRSV) and the Wong-Sandler mixing rules (PRSV/WS) and using the translated modified PR EOS with the linear combination of Vidal and Michelsen mixing rules, the LCVM model, using both a Soave type expression and Mathias-Copeman equation for the temperature dependence of the attractive term in the t-mPR EOS. The APACT EOS has only been applied to the system with 2-butanol.
