A high resolution three dimensional EEG visualization system which is designed for time-domain EEG analysis on non-expensive personal computer is presented. As time domain visualization requires more computation than normal static one, the system uses less time consuming computation method in some cases. The high resolution EEG data enables such relaxation.The system can visualize EEG topography which obtained from a multi-channel EEG acquisition system. Although 128 ch acquisition system is currently used, the number of channels is limited only by the amount of computer memory.This system is designed for time domain EEG analysis in mind. It can visualize not only EEG topographies (normal and surface laplacianed) at any time point, but also dynamic (i.e. time based) changes as EEG topography animations.Currently, several methods are proposed for construction EEG topography. They have different accuracy and computing cost. In time domain based analysis, especially in animated visualization, computing costs are critical. In many cases, more relaxed methods are preferable than precise, but time consuming methods. For this purpose, the system can select most suitable one from several methods for interpolation or such computation.This system runs on an Apple Macintosh personal computer (or its compatible) with moderate performance.
