This paper aims to present research in the area of articulatory phonetics of Polish. First, we discuss briefly instrumental and experimental studies of Polish articulation that had been conducted by the 1970s and then we describe investigations of Polish articulation carried out in the 1990s and in the 21st century. We focus on research completed with the use of electro-magnetic articulography (EMA) and, finally, we discuss selected issues of a larger-scale on-going EMA project of ours aimed at an in-depth analysis of Polish articulation.
