W Archiwum Państwowym w Warszawie znajdują się materiały, dotyczące zajęcia Sierpca 12 sierpnia 1920 r. przez wojska bolszewickie oraz ich rządów na terenie powiatu sierpeckiego. Zbierały je miejscowe posterunki policji, dokumentując stosunek bolszewików do różnych grup społecznych i zawodowych oraz gwałty, rabunki i morderstwa, dokonywane przez żołnierzy rosyjskich.
In the State Archives in Warsaw, there are materials concerning the Sierpc occupation on August 12, 1920, by the Bolshevik army and their rule in the Sierpc county. They were collected by local police stations, documenting the Bolshevik attitude to various social and professional groups, and rapes, robberies and murders carried out by Russian soldiers.
