Artykuł przedstawia wyniki badań empirycznych o wpływie obowiązkowego przyjęcia MSSF na jakość zysków prezentowanych w sprawozdaniach spółek notowanych na Giełdzie Papierów Warto-ściowych w Warszawie. Jako mierniki jakości zysków zostały zastosowane często wykorzystywane w literaturze przedmiotu: trwałość zysków (earnings persistence) oraz wielkość pozycji ujmowanych memoriałowo (accruals magnitude). Na podstawie wcześniejszych badań autorzy postawili hipotezę, że przyjęcie MSSF przez spółki notowane na GPW powinno spowodować poprawę jakości zysków ocenianych za pomocą wyżej wymienionych mierników. W celu weryfikacji hipotezy została porów-nana jakość zysków w okresie przed i po obowiązkowym zastosowaniu MSSF w skonsolidowanych sprawozdaniach finansowych spółek notowanych na GPW. Potwierdzono pozytywny, słaby, ale istotny statystycznie wpływ obowiązkowego przyjęcia MSSF na jakość zysków. Badanie empiryczne obejmuje wszystkie spółki sporządzające skonsolidowane sprawozdania finansowe notowane na GPW z wyjątkiem instytucji finansowych. Badanie empiryczne obejmuje lata 1999–2010.
