Islamski system bankowy jest przykładem systemu bankowego opartego na etycznych, prospołecznych zasadach wyprowadzonych z reguł islamu, a dokładnie z szariatu. Na podstawie tych zasad stworzono wiele instytucji oraz innowacyjnych produktów finansowych. W artykule ukazano stopień rozwoju oraz zróżnicowania islamskiego sektora bankowego w wybranych krajach Azji Południowo-Wschodnich – Malezji, Indonezji i Singapurze.
