Thermally stimulated conductivity (TSC) and luminescence (TSL) are described assuming conventional model of trapping and recombination in an insulator and the quasi-equilibrium approximation. Using these assumptions the method for determination of the relative density of inactive deep traps from the simultaneous TSC-TSL measurement is derived on the basis of the relation between the areas under TSC...
The dielectric spectroscopy, in frequency range 10-² ÷ 105 HZ, was used to obtained the dielectric characteristics of chloride analogous well know MHPOBC antiferroelectric liquid crystal compound. This compound have a rich phase sequence antiferroelectric, ferroelectric, SmA phases and SmC*α, SmC*γ subphases. One molecular and one collective molecular motion were observed and analysed.
For the first time the investigations of drift mobility for hole and electron for quasi - amorphous tetracene films were carried out. The quasi -amorphous tetracene films were obtained with the aid of vacuum evaporation technique. Tetracene was deposited on the glass substrates with the temperature 170- 200 K in vacuum of the order of 10-5 Torr. The carrier mobility was evaluated with the aid of the...
The influence of the sample edge on the spherulite crystallization is considered. The granularity and the time of crystallization change if the sample shape changes. All results are obtained using computer simulation program for real input crystallization parameters taken from experiment.
The work presents the possibilities of the application of photothermal phenomena for the examination of gases and the processes taking place in the gas. The obtained results for nitrogen peroxide in different temperatures are described.
The dependence of the photoacoustic signal generated in piezoelectric foil on the concentration of alcohol in the aqueous solutions was examined. The results of the experiment give evidence that practical applications of this method are possible.
The results of studies of the temperature and pressure variations of the thermodynamic functions and elastic properties of b.c.c. He-3 and h.c.p. He-4 in the reduced second-order approximation of the self-consistent phonon theory are given. The system of self-consistent equations is solved for the (exp,m) Buckingham, (n,m) Lennard-Jones and the (exp, exp) Morse renormalized potentials as the models...
The films of p-quaterphenyl were activated with organic molecules. An effect of superficial activation on conductivity of p-quaterphenyl films was under investigation. It was found that there is the dependence of the conductivity on the time of activation and on the concentration of the vapour. It suggests some potential utilization.
The refractive index is function of temperature and light wave length. In this article it was verified how the light wave length influence on the values of polarizability tensor components αII, α⊥ and polarizability anisotropy (αII - α⊥) of liquid crystal molecules. It is connected with the dispersion phenomena. The big influence of wave length was observed in the case of mentioned above quantities...
Two phenomenon influence temperature dependence of components of polarizability tensor. The first one the change of distance between electron proton with temperature. The second is the conformation change of molecule. From the two reasons mentioned above the electron proton distance change is only the linear function of temperature. It gives the possibility of separation of two part of αII and α ⊥...
