Building automation systems (BAS) don’t always allow control of every technical element in electrical installations. Available devices that are not part of the BAS, can sometimes offer better functionality than the selected automation system elements. Consequently, this leads to the need to integrate elements which are not components of the building automation system precisely with the system in use. The paper presents selected aspects of „classical „device integration with BAS systems including LCN and KNX elements for example.
