The article presents the results of research on developing an innovative technology of thermal diffusion zinc coating with recirculation of reactive atmosphere. The innovation of that method consists in introducing recirculation of reactive atmosphere and application of powder mixture containing powdered zinc and an activator. Recirculation of reactive atmosphere ensures its homogenous composition while the presence of an activator intensifies saturation of steel surface with zinc, which increases the efficiency of active agents. Coatings were produced at the temperature of 300-450°C and soaking time of 30-240 minutes. Microstructure of coatings was revealed (SEM), chemical composition in microstructures was defined (EDS) and phase composition of coatings was identified (XRD). The kinetics of coating growth was defined. It was found that coatings produced with the innovative thermal diffusion zinc coating technology demonstrated a two-layer structure of Fe-Zn intermetallic phases. A compact layer of phase Γ1 (Fe11Zn40) is created at the substrate which is covered with a layer of phase δ1 (FeZn10). Alterations of soaking time do not influence the structure of coating while they do influence its thickness which a linear function t1/2.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań nad opracowaniem nowatorskiej technologii cynkowania termodyfuzyjnego z recyrkulacją atmosfery reakcyjnej. Recyrkulacja atmosfery reakcyjnej zapewnia ujednorodnienie jej składu, a obecność aktywatora intensyfikuje proces nasycania cynkiem powierzchni stali, co podnosi efektywności wykorzystania czynników aktywnych. Powłoki wytwarzano w temperaturze 300-450°C i czasie wygrzewania 30-240 min.
