Jednym z ważniejszych kryteriów oceny przydatności cementu w technologii betonu jest ciepło twardnienia. Produkowane w kraju cementy wykazują bardzo duże różnice ciepła twardnienia. Cementy te mogą być przedmiotem racjonalnego doboru w technologiach betonu masywnego i rozwiązaniach obróbki cieplnej betonu wykorzystujących efekt samoocieplania. Możliwość doboru cementów do poszczególnych technologii produkcji betonu stwarza klasyfikacja cementów uwzględniająca ciepło twardnienia, podana dla cementów powszechnego użytku w Instrukcji ITB 356/98. W kraju brak jest bowiem dotychczas normy klasyfikującej cementy powszechnego użytku na podstawie ich ciepła twardnienia.
One of the most important criteria in the assessment of cement utility in concrete technology is the heat of hardening. Cements produced in Poland show very heavy differences in the hardening heats. These cements may be the matter of a rational selection in the technologies of the mass concrete and in self-heating effect utilizing solutions of concretes for individual concrete practices is created by the classification of cements taking into account the hardening heat, stated for commonly-used cements in the Building Research Institute instruction No 356/98, the commonly used cements classifying standard on the ground of their hardening heat being hitherto mis
