In constantly developing industry, there is need for measurement of complex shapes. It demands acquisition and processing of thousands of measurement points in the short period of time. Special optical systems could be the solution for these demands. However, the problem is in their low accuracy in comparison with classical coordinate measurement methods. Furthermore, no effective method has been elaborated for evaluation of uncertainty of methods of measurements with optical systems. There is also no method for calibration and traceability to length gauge. The new conception of hybrid measurements has been presented in aniele, which connects accuracy of contact measurements in the field of identification of measurement points and on the other hand, complexity and quickness of optical methods. Furthermore, the results of comparative research with the use of optical scanner and CMM have been included in article.
