The ultrasonic investigations of two series of monolithic samples of CEG with the same matrixes (dependent on used kind of expanded graphite (EG), but various porosity were made. Monolithic samples of compressed expanded graphite were produced using powders of expanded graphites of apparent densities 7,5 kg/m3 and 4 kg/m3 by means of compression under various pressures. Dynamic elastic modulus was found to be dependent on properties of initial EG. The packing geometry factor ,,a" was found to be equal to about 1 for all studied samples. It means that pores in CEG are randomly packed; they do not create regular system. Parameters ,,n" describing pore shapes were lower than those for ideal spherical or cubic pores. It was suggested that pores in CEG samples are cylinders with axes under various angles to the compression direction.
