W artykule przedstawiono mikrostrukturę i własności (skład chemiczny, mikrotwardość, odporność na zużycie) wzbogaconej laserowo węglikiem krzemu warstwy wierzchniej stali niskowęglowej. Badania wykonane za pomocą skaningowego elektronowego mikroskopu wykazały występowanie struktury komórkowej oraz płaskiego frontu krzepnięcia. Nasycenie krzemem zaobserwowano w strefie wzbogaconej. Najwyższe wartości twardości osiągnięto w przypadku próbek po laserowym wtapianiu SiC, w których lepiszcze było organiczne.
The paper describes the microstructure and properties (chemical composition, microhardness, and wear resistance) of the laser alloyed with silicon carbide surface layer. The scanning electron micrographs show the cellular structure and the planar solidification front next to the base. The microprobe analysis showed the higher silicon content in the laser alloyed zone than the substrate. Samples covered with SiC and the carbon containing binder showed after laser alloying higher hardness than in case of using silicon containing binder.
