W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań hartowonści stali średniowęglowej zawierającej 2% Cr, 1% Mn oraz zróżnicowaną zawartośc azotu i miktrododatków Ti, Nb, V, Al. Hartowność badano w zakresie temperatur hartowania 840 - 970 stopni C. Stosując model termodynamiczny (1) obliczono skład chemiczny austenitu przy temperaturze hartowania i badano wpływ rozpuszcznych pierwiastków na hartowność. Badano również wpływ ziarna austenitu i obniżenie hartowności. Wprowadzenie mikrododatków V, Ti, Nb i Al pojedynczo lub kompleksowo skutecznie zminejszyło wielkość ziarna i powodowało znaczny przyrost hartowności.
Results of investigation the effect of nitrogen and microalloying elements (V, Ti, Nb, Al) on hardenability and austenite grain size of medium carbon steel containing 2% Cr and 1% Mn was investigated. The hardenability test was carried out at austenitizing temperatures in the range of 840 - 970 degree Celsius. The composition of austenite at austenitizing temperature as well as undissolved carbonitride and AIN contens were calculated, using thermodynamic model (1). Increase of nitrogen content results in decreasing hardenability of steel and increase of austenite grain size. Microalloying additions have improved the hardenability of steel with higher N content as well as refined the austenite grain size.
