The aim of the paper was to evaluate content of copper, nickel and zinc in the soils of the 12 communal forests of Krakow city. Average content of Cu, Ni and Zn in studied soils amounted to: 25.56 mg o kg-1 (range 2.30-261.53 mg o kg-1), 13.31 mg o kg-1 (range 1.32-36.93 mg o kg-1) and 122.03 mg o kg-' (range 44.38-343.58 mg o kg-') respectively. According to the IUNG threshold values, it was found that content of nickel was on natural level and a great part of profiles was little contaminated with copper and zinc. Content of zinc in 6 profiles of rendzinas, muck soils and mucky soil was classified as on a bit higher level and the profile of gley soil shoewed some contamination. Content of copper in profile of mucky soil located in Borek Falęcki was medium contaminated. Moreover it was found that accumulation indexes calculated for copper and zinc are very high, indicating at artificial source of these elements in surface horizons of studied soils.
Celem badań była ocena zawartości miedzi, niklu i cynku w glebach 12 leśnych uroczysk należących do miasta Krakowa. Średnie zawartości metali śladowych w poziomach powierzchniowych wynosiły: 25.56 mg Cu o kg-' (zakres 2.30-261.53 mg o kg-'), 13.31 mg Ni o kg-' (zakres 1.32-36.93 mg o kg-') i 122.03 mg Zn o kg-' (zakres 44.38-343.58 mg o kg-'). Zawartość niklu we wszystkich profilach badanych gleb oceniono jako naturalną, a zawartość cynku w 6 profilach rędzin, gleb murszowych i murszowatych oceniono jako zawartość podwyższoną i w profilu gleby gruntowo-glejowej jako słabe zanieczyszczenie. Zawartość miedzi w profilu gleby murszowatej położonej w rejonie Borku Fałęckiego sklasyfikowano jako średnie zanieczyszczenie. W pozostałych profilach zawartość miedzi i cynku oceniono jako naturalną. Duże wartości wskaźników akumulacji wskazują na antropogenne wzbogacenie poziomów powierzchniowych w miedź i cynk.
