The electroless deposition process of the Ni-M-P alloys from different baths was investigated. The first set of experiments confirmed the possibility of ternary alloy deposition with 18 metals and metaloids, although the deposition rate was limited by the inhibition action of alloying additives. The means to increase deposition rate in particular case of Ni-Cr-P and Ni-Mo-P alloys, with improved corrosion resistance, were then investigated. It was confirmed that the buffering - complexing compounds in the electroless bath play the fundamental role in determination of deposition rate and Cr or Mo content in the alloys. The Ni-Ci-P alloys were obtained with the Cr content up to 1% in presence of the additives of monocarboxylic aliphatic acids. The additives of the hydroxyacids and glycine allowed to deposit the Ni-Mo-P alloys with Mo content up to 10%.
