Prezentowany artykuł stanowi kontynuację tematyki podejmowanej od kilku lat na łamach Przeglądu Odlewnictwa odnośnie odlewanych pomników Krakowa. Opisano jeden z kolejnych, kamiennych pomników ozdobionych elementami odlewanymi, ustawiony w 1898 r. w Parku Emila Serkowskiego w Podgórzu, prawobrzeżnej dzielnicy Krakowa dla uczczenia pamięci Maksymiliana Nowickiego, profesora Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, wielkiego uczonego, przyrodnika, zoologa i pioniera polskiego rybactwa. Wskazano na autorkę modelu odlewniczego plakiety z wyobrażeniem twarzy uczonego, a także pamiątkowej płyty umieszczonej w 1979 r. na tym obelisku. Przypomniano niektóre fakty zżycia M. Nowickiego, wspomniano także o serii autorskiej medali wydanej z okazji 100-lecia założenia przez Profesora - Krajowego Towarzystwa Rybackiego, pierwszej organizacji wędkarskiej na ziemiach polskich.
The article is a continuation of the cycle of articles on the cast monuments in Cracow taken up since some years in the columns of the journal "Przegląd Odlewnictwa". One of the following monuments was described, this time a stone one decorated with the cast ornaments, placed in 1898 in the Emil Serkowski Park.
