Autor artykułu próbuje sprostować błędne informacje, które zostały jego zdaniem, zamieszczone w nr 12 "Materiałów Budowlanych" z 2001 r. Stwierdza on, między innymi, że nie ma możliwości pęcznienia i odpadania tynku gipsowego z powodu hydratacji anhydrytu II. Tynk gipsowy jest tworzywem bardzo porowatym nie tylko z tego powodu, że stwardniały gips jest porowaty, lecz specjalne dodatki do tynku, zwykle etery celulozy, dodatkowo tę porowatość zwiększają. Jednocześnie dodatek perlitu rozładowuje naprężenia w tynku, częsciowo je amortyzując.
