Badania przeprowadzono na monokryształach i polikryształach miedzi. Materiały odkształcono metodą cyklicznego wyciskania ściskającego (CWS) w zakresie odkształceń fi=0,4 - 59,8 (1 do 33 cykli odkształcenia metodą CWS) oraz metodą kątowego kanałowego wyciskania (ECAE) do odkształcenia rzeczywistego 21. W badanych próbkach stwierdzono wyraźną tendencję do powstawania struktury pasmowej.
The investigations included pure Cu single crystals and Cu polycrystals. The materials were deformed by the cyclic extrusion compression method (CEC) within the range of true strains phi=0.4-59.8 (1 to 33 deformation cycles by the CEC method) and ECAE method to the true strain 21. In examined samples a strong tendency to form banded structure was observed. Within the range of very large plastic strains there was observed intensive rebuilding of the banded microstructure into subgrains, at first of rhombic shape, and next into equiaxial subgrains. A characteristic feature of the newly formed subgrains, not encountered in the range of conventional deformations, was the occurrence of large misorientation angles between the newly formed "subgrains". The performed investigations of properties of copper deformed by the CEC method to the true strain phi=13.9, showed that the level of microhardness of copper samples was comparable to the microhardness of nanocrystalline copper reported in literature.
