The paper presents a solution of steady state heat conduction and natural convection problem in rectangular solid medium with first order boundary conditions. The numerical model is developed with the finite difference method and the full multigrid method (FMG) is used to the solution of the resulted system of equations. In this work the residues and convergences of distinguish finite difference schemes as well as the ordering techniques of the smoothing processes are compared. The residues and convergences of the FMG and the successive over-relaxation (SOR) methods are also compared. By FMG algorithm some source distribution sample are processed to evaluate the steady temperature distributions in solid medium. FMG with appropriate parameters can produce solution coinciding with the ones, resulted other iterative techniques. The advantage of FMG is a better convergence (shorter CPU time) and a good error damping in the full frequency domain, the disadvantage is that the FMG needs much more programming tools as other iterative methods.
Artykuł omawia obliczenia przewodnictwa cieplnego w prostopadłościennej próbce materiału przy przyjęciu warunków brzegowych pierwszego rzędu. Model numeryczny opracowano metodą różniczki skończonej a wielosiatkowa metoda (FMG) jest wykorzystywana do rozwiązania układu równań. Przy użyciu algorytmu wielosiatkowego (FMG) źródła rozkładu temperatury zostały przetworzone w celu otrzymania rozkładu równomiernego. Metoda FMG o odpowiednich parametrach umożliwia uzyskanie rozwiązania zbieżnego z rezultatami otrzymanymi przy wykorzystaniu innych technik iteracyjnych. Zaletą metody FMG jest lepsza zbieżność (krótszy czas obliczeń) i lepsze tłumienie błędów. Wadą metody FMG jest potrzeba wykorzystania większej liczby narzędzi programowania.
