Przedstawiono wyniki opracowania stopów i cynkowania ogniowego nimi metodą ciągłą i jednostkową różnych gatunków stali (08X, 20, 55, St3SX, St3S).
Results of a research on the development of new alloys and their use for hot-dip galvanising of different steel grades (08X, 20, 55, St3SX, St3S) by the continuous and batch methods have been presented. One group of the developed alloys, designed for the continuous galvanising, contains the additions of aluminium and manganese (non-spangled coatings), and the other - aluminium manganese and antimony (spangled coatings). The alloy for batch galvanising includes such elements as aluminium, nickel, manganese and tin. Independently of the grade of steel coated by the particular method the coatings exhibit similar, beneficial structure, increased corrosion resistance, good diffusive adhesion to the steel substrate and good plasticity. They are smooth, bright and glossy. The industrial process of batch hot-dip galvanising with the use of the new alloys enables preparation of the coatings of a thickness reduced by 25/60 % in dependence on the grade of steel coated, so that their average thickness is 60/150 mum and an average alloy consumption is of an order of 60 kg per 1 ton of the products coated. The zinc savings reached over 20 % compared to the alloy consumption in the period prior to the application of the developed alloys.
