Road Traffic Safety (RTS) - in an era of significant automobile acceleration - plays the leading role through direct or indirect impact of the increased traffic flows, congestion or parking problems. Therefore there is a permanent need for methodological approach for improving road safety before the more serious problems, associated with the growth of social costs in the analyzed period, appear. Currently it is not important how to shape the supply to meet the demand for shipments of population and goods, but how to shape demand by modifying supply. Because in the modern supply chain economics and organization are distinguished increasingly, a greater role in the effectiveness of mobility management is perceived. Hence, the paper attempts to analyzes the selected standards and procedures in the field of road safety management in terms of reducing road risk and in order to support the undertaking of a variety of possible measures or actions with regard to the widely understood road safety. Therefore the selected aspects of road safety, such as " Sunflower pyramid " and ISO 39001 were discussed. Thanks to these aspects, there is a chance that more and more organizations will put an emphasis on prevention and act together with the public in accordance with procedures which are intended to reduce the risk road.
