Przedmiotem artykułu jest stan techniczny istniejących budynków mieszkalnych wielorodzinnych z XVIII wieku, a w szczególności ścian zewnętrznych z podaniem sposobu podparcia ścian.
The paper is devoted to the technical condition of existing multi-family residential buildings from the 18th century, in particular of their external walls. The method of supporting the walls is specified. The buildings are located in Kożuchów, Lubuskie Voivodeship, which is one of the oldest towns in the central territory by the Oder river. Buildings are a part of compact residential development, they are inhabited and they belong to the Tenant Management Organization. The buildings were entered into the register of monuments in the 1960s under the numbers 1467 and 427 and they are under preservation maintenance. Buttresses, vertical elements in the form of sidewall pillars with beveled external side, were proposed to reinforce (support) the walls of the buildings. This element is typical for Gothic architecture. Buttresses, protecting the wall against the loss of stability, have been designed with the approval of Monuments Conservator of the Lubuskie Voivodeship.
