Zgodnie z wytycznymi polityki unijnej w obszarze transportu kraje Unii Europejskiej do roku 2050 powinny ograniczyć emisję szkodliwych substancji do atmosfery o 70% w porównaniu z poziomem z roku 2008.
According to the European transport policy regulations and guidelines, the European Union member states by 2050 should reduce the exhaust emissions by approximately 70% as compared to 2008. This is to be achieved through gradual phasing out of ‘conventionally-fuelled’ vehicles and replacing them by vehicles fitted with alternative powertrains. Many European member states for several years have been carrying out intensive work on the introduction of electric cars. The use of electric vehicles contributes not only to exhaust emissions reduction, but also reduces the noise in the urban area. The article presents the various forms of promoting electric cars, the development of charging infrastructure and assumptions regarding the development of this market in selected countries.
