Przenikanie prądu rażeniowego do układu nerwowego poza nimi uniemożliwia otoczka izolująca włókna nerwowe o dużej wartości rezystancji. Ponieważ rezystywność układu nerwowego jest kilka razy większa niż krwi, prąd rażeniowy w organizmie człowieka przepływa układem krwionośnym, a nie nerwowym.
The article briefly describes the structure and physiology of the human nervous system and the reactions of its nervous system to electrical stimuli. The conclusions State that the reception of electrical stimuli by the human nervous system is possible only through its nerve endings and through skin receptors. Penetration of the shock current to the human nervous system outside the skin receptors is prevented by the myelin sheath isolating the conductive nerve fibers. The study showed a high value of myelin sheath resistance isolating the nervous system from the conductive intracorporeal environment. Because the resistivity of the nervous system is several times greater than the blood resistivity, the shock current in the human body flows through the blood system, not the nervous one.
