Performing of shot-firing works in the rock mass generates vibrations, which - propagating in the form of seismic waves - affect the condition of the rock mass's structure. This effect can be important and useful, especially for combating of seismic and rockburts hazards with shot-firing techniques. Vibrations parameters, determining the effectiveness of such shot-firing works can be selected by type and the size of an explosive charge and a number of other parameters, including taking advantage of the effects of wave's interference and overlapping of vibrations amplitudes. The article discusses the practical aspects of obtaining of overlapping effect of vibrations induced by shot-firing works that have been tested in the course of studies in one of the copper ore mines.
