The results of microstructure examinations and microhardness measurements of aluminium alloys (AA3103, AA5049, AA6060) afterheat treatment are presented in this paper. The specimens were annealed at: -25, 25, 40, 60, 80, 100, 140, 180 and 220X for 72 hours and then water cooled. The samples were tested for Vickers microhardness and also were examined by light microscopy (IM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The obtained results show that the AA3103 and AA5049 alloys, which are not precipitation strengthened, are stable in the entire investigated rangę of temperatures. The measured microhardness of these alloys is 43-46 HV0.1 for AA3'103 alloy and 56-64 HM0.1 for AA5049 alloy. The AA6060 alloy is stable up to the temperature of 80°C, then its microhardness increase and reaches the maximum value of 80 HW. 1. The grain size measured in the AA3103 and AA5049 alloys is comparable. It amounts to about 20 mm and does not change during the heat treatment, which is an adi/antageous property. The measurements of the grain size of the AA6060 alloy show variations and is about 60-75mm.
