The study concerning the species composition of the primary physiological insect pests feeding on dwarf shoots of the European larch Larix decidua Mill. was earned out in the Ojców National Park, compartments 15, 29 and 31, in 1993. In each of these three compartments 10 larch trees, age class [-II, were chosen at random. From each tree 20 twigs (5 from each global direction), 50 cm long, were taken at random. In total 600 twigs were examined during the study. There were 22,690 dwarf shoots on all (he twigs examined out of which 4519 shoots (19,91%) were damaged. The following species caused (he damage: Adelges laricis Vall., Caleophora laricella Hbn., Spilonota laricana Hein., Pristiphora erichsoni Htg., pristiphora laricis Htg. and Dasineura kellneri (Henschel) (=Dasyneura laricis F. Lw.) The index of frequency (F) reached a highest value for Coleophora laricella (0,466), and a lowest for Pristiphora laricis (0,000002). The Agrell's index of species co-existence reached a highest value in cause of Coleophora laricella and Dasineura kellneri (0,290), and a lowest for Dasineura kellneri and Pristiphora erichsoni (0,006)
