Badania przeprowadzono w latach 2012-2013 na 4 odmianach ziemniaka z różnych grup wczesności uprawianych w systemach ekologicznym i konwencjonalnym. W pełni rozwoju roślin określano ich parametry morfologiczno-fizjologiczne, a po zbiorze wielkość plonu i jego strukturę. Udowodniono istotność zróżnicowania badanych parametrów w zależności zarówno od systemu produkcji i warunków atmosferycznych w okresie wegetacji, jak i odmiany. W systemie konwencjonalnym wartości wszystkich parametrów były istotnie większe. Niekorzystne warunki atmosferyczne w roku 2013 spowodowały słabszy rozwój roślin, co istotnie zmniejszyło plon i pogorszyło jego strukturę. Na spadek plonu i zdrobnienie bulw większy wpływ miały warunki wegetacji niż system produkcji. W latach o niekorzystnych warunkach pogodowych większych strat plonu należy się spodziewać na plantacjach ekologicznych.
