Testowane szczepy pochodziły z gleby i roślin uprawnych.
This study aimed to assess the ability to produce phytotoxic and zootoxic metabolites by the Aspergillus flavus strains isolated from agricultural environment The origin of tested strains was soil and crops. Fungal cultures were incubated in liquid medium and the sensitivity of pea and rape seeds and larvae of Artemia salina was examined. Sterile post-growing liquids were used for tests. The tested isolates of A. flavus were characterized by very diverse ability to produce the toxic metabolites. Only three of the tested strains did not produce a phytotoxic substances. Analysis of zootoxic properties of metabolites produced by tested strains confirmed the results obtained in the phytotoxicity tests. The four strains derived from plants were classified as highly toxinogenic. Examined strains produced metabolites of varying toxicity regardless of the A. flavus origin.
