The object of description in the article are new names of personal agents, motivated by verbs and nouns. The formations have been excerpted from Volumes of 'Nowe slownictwo polskie. Materialy z prasy lat 1993-2000', vol. I: A-H, vol. II: I-O, vol. III: P-S, ed. T. Smólkowa, Kraków 2004-2005. The analysis of the material leds to determining a set of derivational formatives used for creating new agentive names, and in determining the productivity of the respective word-formation types. In modern Polish, names of personal agents are mostly derived from nouns by means of suffixes. Such suffixes as '-acz, -owiec, -ista//-ysta' are most productive in creating agentive names.
