We demonstrate a novel blind equalizer based on a constellation transformation, where a 16-QAM signal is mapped into a QPSK constellation. Subsequently, the filter coefficients for an adaptive equalizer are updated using a constant modulus or decision-directed cost function.
A 40GHz Radio-over-Fiber system is proposed to transmit 2.5Gb/s 16QAM-OFDM wireless signals with only 20GHz RF source. Simulation results show that a reliable EVM value is obtained after 40km SMF transmission.
This paper reports the performance of the first un-cooled 80 Gigabit per second transceiver designed to provide very high speed optical interconnection for super-computers. Error free transmission is reported for 190 hours through 1km.
