We explored an origin of the random error in intensity spectra measured with THz-TDS. The optical-delay scanning, variations in temperature and humidity, the intensity fluctuation of fs-laser, and the THz detectors of LT-GaAs PC antenna and ZnTe EO-crystal are not the predominant origin of the random error.
This study aims to compare the random errors in optical constants like transmittance and absorption coefficients estimated from the sets of intensity spectra with dynamic range obtained from the noise floor in one spectrum measured by THz TDS for ZnTe samples. Results revealed that the error obtained from the noise floor and the statistical analysis simultaneously could show the frequency limit of...
When the polarization of terahertz (THz) light is measured with THz time-domain spectroscopy (TDS) by switching the polarization angle of THz light, it is preferable that intensities of pump and probe lights are almost constant. Pump and probe lights, which are produced through dividing a femto second (fs) laser pulses by a beam-splitter, must be correlated with orientations of THz emitter and detector...
Effects of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanopowder dopant, on the acoustical and physical properties of silicone (Q) rubber have been investigated, in order to develop a low-acoustic attenuation, low sound velocity, and high-mechanical properties lens material for medical array probes. The ZnO-doped Q rubbers showed acoustic impedance (Z) = 1.29 to 1.46 times 106 kg middot m-2s-1, acoustic attenuation = 0.54...
