In this paper, a new synthesis method for parallelcoupled line bandpass filter is presented. Design formulas are derived for a third-order bandpass filter with arbitrary coupledline image impedance. These formulas are more accurate than the conventional method to address the prediction bandwidth. Third-order parallel-coupled bandpass filters are designed and simulated to validate the theory.
In this paper, slow-wave coplanar waveguides, well-known to present a high degree of miniaturization and a high quality factor in CMOS technology, are investigated in a classical printed circuit board technology. These transmission lines are measured between 45 MHz and 4 GHz. An effective relative permittivity greater than 13 can be reached for a 50-Ω characteristic impedance transmission line, leading...
In this paper, experimental results of a new compact high-quality-factor shielded transmission line implemented on a CMOS 0.35-μm technology are presented, with a very good agreement between measurement and simulations. Then, based on the measured transmission line geometry, 3D electromagnetic simulations are carried out to study the effect of the floating shield dimensions and derive some design...
Shielded coplanar waveguides (S-CPW) are promising candidates for the development of high-quality factor transmission lines in millimetre-wave frequency bands, from about 10 GHz to more than 65 GHz. In this paper, state-of-the art experimental results carried out on a CMOS 0.35 mum low-cost technology are first presented. These results open new possibilities for the development of low-loss compact...
