We report on oscillators and amplifiers based on all-silica singlemode, large mode area photonic bandgap fibers elaborated by the modified chemical vapour deposition process.
The use of 40 μm diameter core Yb-doped Bragg fibers in two-stage CPA system is reported with maximum amplified pulse energy limited by the experimental set-up only. 82 W average output power before compression from photonic bandgap fiber was obtained.
We introduce the design of an amplifying and nonlinear microstructured optical fiber. This unusual guide permits the nonlinear propagation with regeneration of the pump wave. The first fabricated structure is experimentally tested for supercontinuum generation.
