Sharing outsourced data between owners and data mining experts is becoming a challenging issue in biomedical and healthcare fields. Watermarking has been proved as a right-protection mechanism that can provide detectable evidence for the legal ownership of a shared dataset, without compromising its usability. However, the main disadvantage of these conventional techniques is unintelligent, rule-based...
In this paper, we propose a feature-based approach to address the challenging task of recognising overlapping sound events from single channel audio. Our approach is based on our previous work on Local Spectrogram Features (LSFs), where we combined a local spectral representation of the spectrogram with the Generalised Hough Transform (GHT) voting system for recognition. Here we propose to take the...
This paper presents a new method for solving face gender identification and face classification problems. The proposed method uses gradient features for feature extraction and support vector machine for classification. Experiments for the proposed method have been conducted on two public data sets CalTech and AT&T. The results show that the proposed method could improve the classification rates.
In this paper, we propose a multi-biometrics authentication system based on our proposed priority-based watermarking method. We investigate how watermarking techniques affect the container, which is facial image used in further authentication steps. We conduct experiments on facial and fingerprint features using both priority-based watermarking method and non-priority-based method. Results show that...
