In the previous study, the surface-conduction field emission (SCFE) structure has been proposed. The SCFE structure can be fabricated very easily with low cost. However, the electron beam diverges seriously in a SCFE structure. To improve the focus performance of electron beam, a SCFE structure with focus electrode is proposed in this paper.
In this letter, we report a new kind of hybrid field emitters with the mixture of ZnO nanotetrapods and MgO particles by spin-coating method. Due to the excellent field emission properties of the hybrid field emitters, the turn-on electric field (at a current density of 1 muA/cm2) and threshold electric field (at a current density of 1 mA/cm2) have been reduced to 0.6 nu/mum and 0.92 V/mum, respectively...
Summary form only given. Recently, the carbon nanotube field emission display has drawn more and more concern. With its excellent image display quality and low fabrication expense, the printable CNT-FED will take the place of cathode ray tube as the major consumer-priced and mass-market display. A normal CNT-FED device is composed of the CNT cathode, the gate electrode, the anode and dielectric insulator...
MgO coated Ni cup cathodes are used to improve the lumen efficiency of CCFL. The preliminary work has indicated that e-beam evaporated layers of magnesium oxide (MgO), which has a large secondary electron emission coefficient, can increase the lumen efficiency of CCFLs by 15-20%
