The paper introduces a fuzzy system meant to control the oxygen pressure and amperage of a CNC metal plate cutting machine. The fuzzy system control the oxygen pressure and the amperage by analyzing the plate thickness and type, which eliminates the possible human error in making such decision. The system was implemented using as hardware a Simatic S7-\300 PLC.
This paper analyzes, by case study, the similarities and differences between two existing componentization techniques of a project in Web Dynpro ABAP: the faceless componentization and assistance class componentization, made possible due to the MVC architecture (Model-View-Controller), which are the basis of the Web Dynpro ABAP framework. We highlighted the similarities and differences, advantages...
This paper proposes a case study about a web business application implemented in three SAP (System Application and Products in Data Processing) UI (user interfaces) technologies: Web Dynpro (WD) ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming), Floorplan Manager (FPM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) WebClient UI. This study is comparatively realized: both in terms of application achievement,...
This paper suggests a model for translation management systems meant to overcome the problems faced by companies at a global level. Large international organizations do not have to overcome only the problem created by large amounts of data but also by multilingual documents used across the organization. Until now the research related to translation management systems was focused on in-text matching...
This work is presenting a study performed towards the web programming on integrated system, emphasizing the facilities offered by the SAP integrated system's environment. Because the architecture of the SAP NetWeaver Application Server system is a three-tier architecture, it's possible to develop web business applications of ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) and/or Java type. The web...
This paper presents considerations of using wireless sensor networks for monitoring conditions within wind farms, taking into considerations the specific of such applications. In these scenarios, which are intended to cover a lot of ground or even operate in difficult radio environments with strong attenuation, the simple and direct communication between source and destination is not always possible,...
In this paper is presented an experimental model for an hydro aggregate with synchronous generator having static excitation. The model was designed and achieved in the laboratory at reduced scale, of 12 kVA, using a VI — LabVIEW environment. With the help of this model there might be experimentally studied the dynamic conditions of the real hydro generators in function.
Power quality is the set of regulations of electrical properties that allows electrical systems to function without significant loss of performance or aging. The term is used to describe electric power that drives an electrical load and the load's ability to operate properly with that electric power. Without the proper power, an electrical device (or load) may malfunction, fail prematurely or not...
The amount of renewable energy sources constantly increased during recent years requiring detailed analysis about their impact on system security and operation. Because of the variability of these sources, which is the main aspect that affects the operating conditions of the power system, new tools of analysis are necessary. This paper presents the analysis of large wind farm integration in nowadays...
There were conceived original methods that intend to optimize (maximize) the efficiency of variable speed fixed blade wind generators. These methods are based on mathematical models of fixed blades wind turbines windmills. This is the main reason that an important part of the paper is dedicated to the problematic of mathematical modeling of the wind turbine - focused mainly on the determination from...
The authors are proposing a transmission cost allocation method, using the real and reactive power flow tracing. It is based on Z bus system matrix. The real and reactive power losses are considered. The case study refers to the 12 buses test power system, heaving 6 P-U buses and 6 P-Q buses. The comparison is performed for neglecting and considering the transversal conductance.
The paper presents a control strategy for a wind energy conversion system (WECS) for an optimal extraction of power from the wind. The topology of the system consists of a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG), a diode bridge rectifier, a hybrid dc-dc converter which lowers the dc voltage, a supercapacitor and an inverter. However, the grid side inverter is not subject to this paper research...
The paper describes the way in which we can model and simulate a part of a complete automated manufacturing technological flow, namely the palletization part, meaning pieces arrangement in a certain order requested by the user. The purpose of the modelling is the determination of an adequate operation algorithm that can be further implemented in a real situation. In this case, we suppose that pieces...
This paper presents the hardware and software implementation of a digital system for regulating the speed of an AC motor. It provides detailed considerations which laid the basis of the choice of adjustment method implemented, as well as the benefits resulting from the use of the method chosen.
This paper refers, mainly, to the problem of the current harmonics of PM synchronous generator, due to the electric conversion system rectifier, interfacing the generator and the grid, present in the structure of the variable speed windgenerators. The problem was experimentally studied on “Politehnica” University from Timisoara (UPT) laboratory test rig, based on the PM synchronous generator — “ac...
This paper proposes an adaptive fuzzy- system to eliminate sliding that may occur between the billets and rolls of drawing continuous casting steel plants. These slips may compromise the tuning speed of hardware caused by prediction system and crack elimination, the speed corrections are common and apply as a step. Design and production system are based on an original research of the authors.
This paper presents a system for monitoring the electrical disturbances which are present every day in electrical power distribution networks. A simple solution for detecting the disturbances using a low power microcontroller (MSP 430) was developed. The system was devised to work with 230 V 50 Hz electrical power networks in Europe.
The new automatic classification devices for products based on machine vision techniques value the shape and color parameters so as to suitably assess the latter. These parameters may also be turned to good account by the machine vision techniques that proved to be applicable in several domains. One can especially apply these techniques in the inspection and analysis systems of industrial products...
In this paper it is presented an analysis regarding the modeling technique and design of a database realized by the developer in an ERP (enterprise resources planning) type integrated system, namely SAP (system application product). Such a database creation can be very easily realized using the system tools, and it is required when the SAP standard, although includes many such models, it is not enough...
The present paper presents considerations on using a low power routing solution for prolonging the battery life for motes within a wireless sensor network (WSN) without affecting the network connectivity. The solution applies for the cases when, the distances between motes and base stations are over the mote's communication range, and motes located between sinks and base station are commonly used...
