This paper shows application of exploratory data analysis techniques to data extracted from hospital information system (HIS), which can be viewed as a first step to data mining for HIS. The results show that the results are very useful for hospital management and that the reuse of stored data will give a powerful tool to support a long-period management of a university hospital.
