Endothelial dysfunction (EDF) reflects pathophysiological changes in the phenotype and functions of endothelial cells that result from and/or contribute to a plethora of cardiovascular diseases. We review the role of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in the pathogenesis of EDF, one of the fastest advancing research topics. Conventionally treated as an environment pollutant, H2S is also produced in endothelial...
This half-day tutorial shows how a flexible and scalable simulation environment can be applied to train project management skills in a realistic way by simulating problems practitioners are facing in their daily work. Based on the simulation goals, the participants act as project managers determining the simulated development process by adequate staffing and allocating software development as well...
The paper presents a vector control strategy for induction motor without mechanical sensor using double field-orientation procedure. It combines the advantages of both, rotor-and stator-field orientation. As a consequence the computation of control variables and also the speed identification calculus is independent of the rotor resistance, which improves the performance/robustness of the system.
