Pt and PtRu nanoparticles supported on HNO 3 -treated carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were prepared by microwave-assisted heating of polyol process and characterized by XRD and TEM. It was found that the metal nanoparticles were uniform in shape and size and well dispersed on the carbon nanotubes. The average metal diameters were about 3.0–3.1 nm for Pt and 2.8 nm for PtRu.
Nanocomposites of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with Sn 2 Sb alloy nanoparticles were prepared by KBH 4 reduction of SnCl 2 and SbCl 3 precursors in the presence of CNTs.
