60-Ghls Optical OFDM transmissions over 100m OM1 MMF IMDD system are experimentally demonstrated utilizing 10-GHz EML intensity modulators at single 1550nm wavelength. Adaptive subcarrier bit and power loading schemes are also employed to defeat channel fading in a simple and straightforward center launching configuration. Experimental results show a good feasibility in short reach data center interconnections.

We report enhanced graded-index multimode polymer waveguides with >70GHz×m for MMF launch and >200GHz×m for restricted launch, indicating the capability of on-board waveguide transmission of >100 Gb/s. Simulations using the measured refractive index profile agree well with the experiments.

We propose a novel frequency offset estimator by using canonical Kalman filter in coherent optical phase-shift keying systems. Simulation results show that it can quickly search for the frequency offset and approach the performance of an ideal frequency offset estimator.
Using the method of time-domain spectroscopy, we measure the absorption and dispersion of several non-polar organic solvents from 0.2 to 2.5 THz. Based on the result, we believe liquid paraffin might be a proper choice for the core material of THz liquid-core fiber when Teflon is used as cladding material. Transmitting performance of THz liquid-core fiber at 98 GHz is tested.
We studied the performance comparison among data-aided maximum likelihood (DA ML) phase estimation, block phase estimation (PE) and differential detection in optical differential quadrature phase shift keying system. Numerical results show that DA ML has the best performance on both linear and nonlinear optical channel.
We study the correlation between optical signal to noise ratio (OSNR) penalty and degree of polarization (DOP) for first and second-order polarization mode dispersion.
