Eddy current testing (ECT) is becoming a widely used inspection technique, particularly in the aircraft, power and nuclear industries. Many factors may affect the eddy current response. Inverse problems to determine the thickness from ECT signals of multilayer conductors have been a challenge for a certain degree. The objectives of this study are to introduce a method based on improved back propagation...
A new method for testing of the electric heating cable fault was proposed, which was based on the wavelet packet and RBF (radial basis function) neural network. The principle used for testing the short-circuit fault of the electric heating cable was described. The flow chart of the detecting system was given. Experimental results showed that the method, which combined the wavelet packet and RBF neural...
This paper presents a network anomaly detector based on improved Dempster-Shafer (D-S) evidence theory, thus improving the reliability and rationality of the result, it achieves low false alarm rate and missing rate, and high performance of the algorithm is guaranteed. The simulation shows that the network anomaly detector based on improved D-S evidence theory has better result than others one do.
This paper proposed a hybrid evolutionary system HPSONN to automatically design artificial neural networks (ANNpsilas), where ANNpsilas structure and parameters are tuned simultaneously. In HPSONN, an improved particle swarm optimization using optimal foraging theory (PSOOFT) and a binary particle swarm optimization (BPSO) are used to train ANNpsilas free parameters (weights and bias) and find optimal...
Ultrasonic nondestructive testing for wood defects is studied based on the energy spectrum variety of the ultrasonic signals by means of wavelet transform, coefficient of wavelet node and the artificial neural networks (ANN). The energy change of defect wood specimen mostly depends on the degree of defects. And the defect degree is proportional to the energy change. By comparing the energy variety...
