The processing of photonic information strongly depends on electronic technique, which limits the speed of information processing. Fortunately, modulation of light with light based on metamaterials creates a new approach to realize photoelectric devices and modulation of photonic information. In this work, we present a tunable broadband polarization conversion based on coherent control, which makes...
We present dual-band metamaterial absorbers that are composed of concentric metal double rings, a dielectric spacer and a metallic ground plane. The coupling between the top electric resonators and the bottom metal layer leads to a strong magnetic resonance. The metamaterial with ordered double rings has two absorption peaks at frequencies of 5.67 GHz and 11.30 GHz with the absorption rates of 99...
We studied highly trapped-mode resonant feature in planar positive and negative metamaterials with broken symmetry theoretically. The transmission and reflection spectra of the metamaterials have been used to show resonant response to the incident electromagnetic wave under normal incidence and the quality factor is strongly dependent on geometrical parameters of metamaterials.
