A high peak-power, high repetition rate MOPA system incorporating a Yb-doped fiber amplifier and its SHG were investigated in detail. The oscillator is actively Q-switch microchip laser at repetition rate of 50 kHz. The MOPA produces as much as 108 kW of peak power. The SHG conversion efficiency was 51%.
CW output power of 4 W was obtained at a pump power of 12 W. 200 kHz repetition EO-Q-switching was achieved with a pulse width of 10 ns by using a diode-end-pumped vanadate laser system.
