A fiber optic liquid level sensor based on the strain sensing by a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is proposed and demonstrated. The FBG packaged on a thin cantilever beam so that the elongation and contraction of the FBG indicate a liquid level change. The strain response of FBG has been carried out and the shift in the Bragg wavelength shows a very good linearity during rise and fall of liquid level....
Many methods have been proposed to analyze the characteristics of FBG-based cavity, as a novel method for analyzing reflection spectra of FBG-based Fabry-Perot (F-P) cavity, V-I transmission matrix combines the exactitude of traditional effective index method and the speed of coupled-mode method. In this paper, we demonstrate the analysis of F-P cavity based on non-matching fiber Bragg gratings using...
We propose a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) Fabry-Perot cavity sensor consists of a pair of FBGs written directly into the same photosensitive fiber. Laser pulse launched into the cavity produces a group of reflection pulses. The power ratio of the first two reflection pulses could be detected for sensor measurement.
