A cooperative amplify and forward relay network with orthogonal space-time block coding is analyzed for a multiple antenna source and destination and single antenna relay. Unlike previous studies, the source-destination direct link is considered. Symbol error rate expressions for MPSK and MQAM are derived and compared with Monte Carlo simulations.
