This is a feasibility study for developing low-cost synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems based on the IEEE 802.11ac protocol. The baseband module of IEEE 802.11ac is found to be similar to SAR, and its frequency coverage is wide enough to meet the requirement of high-resolution SAR imaging. By using the subbands merging technique, the spatial resolution can reach 0.5 m × 0.5 m.
Image fusion involves merging two or more images into a single image with more information. Recently, many algorithms have been proposed for fusion of low-resolution multispectral (MS) and high-resolution panchromatic (Pan) images. In this paper, the intensity (I) component of fused image is obtained according to adaptively weighted combination to combine I component of MS image and Pan image in the...
Airborne three-dimensional (3-D) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging has been getting increasing attentions, because of its application prospects in safe navigation, terrain mapping and etc. Resolution is one of the key parameters of 3-D SAR imaging system, therefore to analyze its 3-D resolutions is necessary and significative. In this paper, we derive the resolutions of airborne 3-D SAR via generalized...
Many satellite sensing image fusion algorithms have been proposed to acquire a high-resolution multi-spectral image from a high-resolution panchromatic image and several low-resolution multi-spectral images. The intensity-hue-saturation (IHS) method is a typical technique for merging image with its low computational cost and spatial information well-preserving. Since spectral information is of great...
