We demonstrate ITU-grid multi-channel chirp- free CS-RZ optical pulse generation with a repetition rate of 160 GHz using a single set of a phase modulator driven by a 40 GHz clock and two stages of polarization-maintaining fiber. The unwanted low frequency tones are suppressed by more than 25 dB.
We demonstrate ITU-grid multi-channel high-speed (40-GHz experimentally, and 80-GHz in simulation) chirp-free return-to-zero optical pulse train generation by a single phase modulator driven by an electrical clock at half frequency and a PM fiber.
Fourteen C+L-band synchronized multi-channel short pulse sources are generated based on XPM and FWM effects in nonlinear optical loop mirror. Walk-off effect is reduced effectively by using 10m high nonlinear dispersion flattened photonic crystal fiber.
