Voice-based systems allow users access to information on the internet over a voice interface. Prior studies on Open and Distance Learning (ODL) e-examination systems that make use of voice interface do not sufficiently exhibit intelligent form of assessment, which diminishes the rigour of examination. The objective of this paper is to improve on the achievements of previous studies by providing a...
Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems uses computer generated voice unit to provide response to an input from a telephone caller. With IVR systems, mobile phone users can access information by simply dialing a telephone number to create connectivity and communication with a server or internet. The use of IVR systems is applied in areas such as e-health, banking and finance, government, telecommunication,...
Ultra-broadband mm-wave wireless data transmission at 240 GHz carrier frequency is demonstrated successfully over a distance of 40m using a direct conversion MMIC-based RF front end. A new generation 64GS/s Fujitsu DAC evaluation board provides 64Gbit/s and 96Gbit/s data rates for QPSK and 8-PSK modulated baseband signals. The overall link performance is evaluated in terms of error vector magnitude...
We measure the lifetime distribution of NV centers inside diamond crystals of varying sizes and for nanodiamonds placed on distinct surfaces. Results show the emission is strongly influenced by crystal size and dipole orientation.
We measure distributions of emission rates of single nitrogen vacancy color centers in nanodiamond crystals on distinct surfaces. Comparison to calculations shows emission is strongly influenced by dipole orientation relative to surface interfaces.
